When you need a break from travelling the Pacific Highway, Woombah Woods Caravan Park is the place to stop. We are located 500m off the highway on the Iluka exit on the NSW North Coast, which is far enough to be away from the noise of the highway. You won't find anything easier.
Our park is set in a relaxing bush land setting with a myriad of birds and wildlife. We have kangaroos every morning and possums abound for children to watch.
With easy access to nearby Yamba, Maclean, Iluka and many more, we have the perfect location to enjoy the tourism resources along our beautiful coast. There are major supermarkets in these three towns and larger shopping in nearby Grafton.

Iluka
Just 10 minutes drive, or approximately 10 kms down the road, the seaside village of Iluka is a relaxing small community where you can have some quiet time to yourself

Yamba & Angourie
Just 20 minutes, or approximately 20 kms drive, you can also visit Yamba on the Ferry which leaves Iluka and crosses the Clarence River and mooring in the heart of town.
Famous as a surfing and beach destination, Yamba and Angourie offer incredible surfing and swimming beach locations. Yamba also has fine dining and numerous restaurants, cafes and local shops, as well as community markets, movie theatre and cultural events throughout the year.

Maclean, The Scottish Town of Australia
A short 15 minute drive across the other side of the Clarence River will find you at Maclean, famous for it's Scottish heritage, tartan telegraph poles, and situated on the banks of the river.
The Maclean lookout will give you a fantastic view of the river out to the coastline, across the cane fields of local farmers. With a community market, very popular cafe's and coffee, a strong history and friendly atmosphere everyone feels welcome at Maclean.
Beach
We have plenty of different types of beautiful beaches nearby, sand for walking, natural swimming good for children and families, great surfing, snorkelling and many more features to enjoy.
Nearby Shark Beach has 4WD access along a beautiful stretch of remote coastline where you can relax and explore
Clarence River
Clarence River is the biggest river on the east coast. You can enjoy a Day with music on a River Cruise along the Clarence River. You can catch a Ferry from Iluka and make a day trip to Yamba. Or just enjoy the magnificent waterway.
National Park
Iluka, Yamba and Woombah are situated within the Yuraygir National Park, Bundjalung National Park and the World Heritage Listed Iluka Nature Reserve Rainforest with a host of walking tracks and activities for the keen bushwalker, everyday nature lover or young family who want to explore the great outdoors.
The Three kilometres rainforest walk is very popular and healthy. You can see different type of plants, fauna and wildlife, beach and Iluka town.
Fishing
Within 15 minute drive, you can reach the Clarence River Boat Ramps and beaches for fishing, which attract fishing fans from all over the world each year. You can hire a BBQ fishing boat to have a relaxing BBQ in the middle of the river while you are dropping a line or two.
Host to one of the largest rivers in Australia, the Clarence Valley and it's Clarence River is well known for it's fantastic fishing and prawning. Boating
Situated on the banks of the Clarence River, and across the river to the Yamba Marina, nearby Iluka is just 10 minutes down the road and is a popular kayaking, yachting, charter and ferry destination for anyone who loves to get out and enjoy a day on the water. Go canoeing up the Esk River, fish for bass or catch an eel.
Wildlife
At the right time of year Iluka Bluff and Yamba Lookout are perfect locations for whale watching enthusiasts, with the surrounding National Parks hosting the perfect environment to see koalas, kangaroos, emus, an abundance of bird life and many more of our furry, scaled and feathered friends while you stay at Woombah Woods Caravan Park.
Surf & Swim
Home to many surfing and swimming beaches, the Clarence Valley is well known for it's beaches at Iluka, Yamba and Angourie and are the reason many come to holiday here. Popular activites include body boarding, wind surfing, surfing, swimming, stand up paddle boards and lots more. Come and have fun in the surf, sunbake on the sand and enjoy a real Australian summer without the crowds.
History & Sightseeing
Visit Maclean, the Scottish Town in Australia and see this little river town come to life for the annual Highland Gathering. The Harwood Sugar Mill is the backbone of the local cane farming industry and you can arrange to visit and tour the facility to see how our sugar is made.
Maclean and Yamba both have local museums and art galleries for the cultural and history buffs to get a great understanding of the local area, while Woombah Coffee is the Southernmost Coffee Plantation and share some knowledge with resident growers Joy and Joan.
'Harwood Hilton' Pub for a fantastic meal on the banks of the river is well worth it.
Additionally the Iluka, Yamba and Brooms Head lookouts offer superb views of the East Australian coastline under a blue summer's day.
Golf & Sport
The Iluka Golf Club is only 10 minutes down the road and offers a flat, couch grass 18 hole course on the coast, so you don't get too hot playing under the summer sun. Nearby Maclean, Yamba and Iluka also have a range of sporting facilities and grounds for the family to run around, swim and have fun while you sit back and relax at Woombah Woods Caravan Park.
